Need to be added to your bucket list. Round up your friends and family for an incredible weekend (or two!) in Tairāwhiti.

Maunga to Moana Adventure Race (March)

What originally began as a training course for the military, Maunga to Moana (M2M) is a multi-sport adventure race that delivers an unforgettable, authentic East Coast experience. Hike, cycle and run from the summit of the sacred maunga Mount Hikurangi to the sea with the local community cheering you on every step of the way. Complete with an opening pōwhiri, hosted Coastal Camp, local market day, mystery challenges along the course and a traditional hākari feast of celebration, this is a very active and authentic way to experience Tairāwhiti.
