Experience our waka on the ocean - join us on board the Waka Hourua ‘Tairāwhiti’, (Māori replica double hull canoe), for an experience like no other.

Get involved, “buddy up” with crew members to learn traditional sailing and wayfinding skills out in the bay. We’ll need all hands on deck to steer and sail our 22 m / 72 ft waka!

- Learn how to man the “hoe” steering paddle, hoist the sails and tack!

Conditions:
Children between the ages of 5 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Guests are required to bring warm clothing, comfortable footwear, (no high heels), sun protection (sun hat, sunglasses).

Cancellation Policy:
Up to 48 hrs prior - no penalty
24 hrs prior - 50% charge
On the day - 100% charge will be incurred
Cancellation due to weather or illness may incur a cancellation fee (at operator discretion).

Please provide us with as many details as possible in the body of your email so we can find your reservation on our system and organise the refund, if applicable.
