Tahunga Golf Club Tahunga Golf Club
Tahanga Golf Course is golf in its purest rural form - rough around the edges, rich in character, and wrapped by the mighty Hangaroa River. This seasonal nine-holer offers fenced greens, sweeping paddocks, and the unmistakable scent of farm life on the breeze. You’re just as likely to spot a fly fisherman working the river as you are a local teeing off in gumboots.

The course isn’t polished - but that’s the point. It’s raw, real, and shaped by the rhythms of the land and the people who live here. A couple of annual club events bring the community together, but most days you’ll have the place to yourself - just you, the land, and a few honest swings.
Tahanga isn’t just a golf course - it’s a rural experience with a flagstick. Pack a layer, embrace the elements, and soak up a side of New Zealand (or Tairāwhiti for that matter) few get to play through.
